David Armstrong and family have been actively involved in the motel industry since 1990. During that time he has leased motels mainly in Christchurch, before purchasing a freehold going concern, which they retain today as an investment.

Addicted to the lifestyle and benefits the motel industry had to offer, the family went on to own and operate another Christchurch motel and invest further in what they saw as a growth market with a great future. During this period David served on the local Motel Association (MANZ) Executive for several years being proactive in promoting ‘best practice’ in motel management.

Consequently David has enjoyed the rewards and witnessed the steady growth of tourism to the point where it now ranks as the leading export industry within New Zealand. It was a natural progression for David to join Mainland Real Estate as a broker putting himself in a position to offer his extensive practical knowledge to prospective buyers and sellers alike.
